Are you passionate about ICT investment, and want to help influence the ICT agenda across the Queensland Government? We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team in QGCDG, part of the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy.

The Director Assurance and Investment is responsible for driving the analysis of significant initiatives. This includes analysis of project and programme management and the related strategy and business artefacts associated with the initiative to provide written and verbal briefing to government on the governance rigour, assurance, business impact, complexity and risk practices and ultimately the likelihood of success of agency and whole of government initiatives.

Working closely with agencies and other groups within the QGCDG, you will:
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Assurance and Investment team, including team resources, finance, capability and capacity.
• Work collaboratively as part of the Customer and Digital Strategy Leadership Team to facilitate a coordinated approach across business areas
• Lead and provide high quality strategic advice to QGCDG leaders on the digital investment portfolio and overarching framework.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide network of colleagues and stakeholders within the department, the Queensland Public Sector, Industry and other relevant jurisdictions to maximise outcomes and ensure a collegiate approach to the delivery of projects and programs.
• Communicate with influence, collaborate and negotiate with stakeholders, including agency partners, inter-departmental committees, and cross jurisdictional partners, to ensure the portfolio meets government objectives.
• Develop or provide input to strategy and policy proposals, including Executive Government submissions and interjurisdictional activities, in support of the department and sector achieving its objectives.

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, experience in leading a digital portfolio, Project, Program and Portfolio Management would be highly desirable e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programs, Management of Portfolios, P3O, Benefits Management. Experience in digital transformation, ICT and digital investment planning and strategic planning and reporting is also highly desirable.
