    The Learning & Teaching Solutions Team in Digital Solutions are currently looking for a Senior Development Engineer - Design / UX Lead. This position will lead a small team of designers / developers who are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining a range of applications for use in Learning & Teaching activities across the University.

    • Specialist application design and User Experience (UX) team leadership. Provides detailed and specific advice and contributes to the organisation and teamwork planning, tracking and delivery. Collaborates with other specialists, where appropriate, to ensure advice given is appropriate to the needs of the organisation.
    • Software design. Designs software components and modules using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed software design standards, patterns, and methodology. Recommends designs which consider target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems. Reviews, verifies, and improves own designs against specifications. Leads reviews of others’ designs. Models, simulates, or prototypes the behaviour of proposed software to enable approval by stakeholders, and effective construction of the software. Verifies software design by constructing and applying appropriate user engagement and testing methods.
    • Programming/software development. Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, and refactors complex programs/scripts and integration software services. Contributes to selection of the software development approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve well-engineered outcomes. Participates in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work.
    • Testing. Accepts responsibility for creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability). Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services. Utilises automated testing tools where available and contributes to the definition of automated testing capability. Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards.
    • Release and deployment. Assesses and analyses release components. Provides input to scheduling. Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained and improved.
    • Application support. Maintains application support processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.

    What we can offer
    This is a full-time continuing position based at our Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

    The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $105,59 - $118,792 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $123,547 - $138,987 per annum.

    We are looking for a Customer Success Associate to support our retail & police community across Australia and New Zealand.     Your responsibilities

    There are two parts to the role:

    Support - Providing a great customer experience to our user community

    • Responding to customer and police queries through in-app chat, emails and phone
    • Maintaining the Auror platform by keeping profiles, comments, and data up to date
    • Partnering with our Integrations team to ensure our customers can access our platform by troubleshooting technical issues

    • Keeping our Help Centre, chat bots, and canned responses up to date with the latest product releases

    Joining our team as a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through close collaboration with clients. In this high-impact position, you'll have the opportunity to lead the charge in establishing a premium managed services partnership model. 

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage and maintain customer cloud environments
    • Design and implement various cloud solutions, with a focus on cloud native
    • Monitoring the managed services boards and responding to managed service requests and incidents.
    • Delivery of after-hours (24x7) managed services.
    • Contribution to the ongoing management and improvement of Itoc Operations processes, e.g. on-boarding, change management, incident management, and other ITSM processes.
    About You: 
    • Experience and understanding across a range of AWS products.
    • Ability to contribute to the achievement and retention of Itoc’s industry certifications and accreditations, including individual business and technical certifications.
    • Display a high level experience across hands-on technical / engineering roles.
    • Ability to prioritise and self-manage time
    • Any prior experience working within an MSP / Service Desk role would be highly regarded.

    The Digital Foundations team supports the University’s digital infrastructure initiatives in the areas and products for Cloud and Virtualization Services, Middleware & Integration, Networking and Communications and Backup & Archiving.   

    Within this team, the Solutions Architect designs enterprise, business domain and solution architectures. They are accountable for taking an integrated end-to-end approach in designing the overarching future state of platforms and products across the full stack (applications, data, infrastructure, security) within their domain and collaborating with their colleagues across domains. They set standards and guidelines that help teams to deliver high quality solutions for clients; lead the development and improve the maturity of solution architecture; and facilitate end-to-end thinking in product/platform roadmaps as well as technology processes.

     Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:    

    • Actively maintains recognised expert level knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms
    • Analyses and designs business processes; identifies alternative solutions to exploit new technologies and automation
    • Contributes to the creation and review of a systems capability strategy which meets the strategic requirements of the business 
    • Supports monitoring of the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies to evaluate the potential impacts, threats and opportunities to the organisation 
    • Leads the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas
    • Develops and maintains a detailed knowledge of capability improvement approaches and techniques and selects appropriate approaches for the organisation   
    • Adopts and adapts appropriate systems design methods, tools and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches, and ensures they are applied effectively 
    • Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan 

    What we can offer
    This a fixed-term (12 months), full-time position based at our Nathan campus. 

    Salary range HEW Level 9 Base Salary $117,320 – $121,515 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total package is in the range $137,264 - $142,172 per annum.

    About you 

    • To be successful within this role, you will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in Solution Architecture. You will also display evidence of:    
    • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
    • Experience in Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies would be preferred. 
    • Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience are highly regarded
