Cairns Regional Breakfast & Networking

with

Professor Sandra Harding, Vice-Chancellor, James Cook University

Committed to supporting women in technology, wherever they are based, our regional initiative is designed to support and foster the careers and encourage the networking opportunities of women in Queensland's regional areas.

Our keynote speaker Professor Sandra Harding will speak about her career journey, highlights and lowlights, providing food for thought and inspiration to women for their own career development.

Professor Harding took up her appointment as Vice Chancellor & President of James Cook University in January 2007. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring clear and effective leadership and management of the University across all operating sites, including Townsville, Cairns and Singapore.

Educated at the Australian National University, The University of Queensland and North Carolina State University (USA), Prof. Harding is an economic sociologist with a keen scholarly interest in markets, how they work and organisation survey methodology. She also has a keen interest in public policy in two areas: education policy and related areas; the global Tropics, northern Australia and economic development.

Professor Harding has extensive academic and academic leadership experience. In addition, she has undertaken a wide variety of external roles within the business community and the higher education sector.

The event will commence with networking over breakfast so make sure you bring your business cards to this valuable networking opportunity.
