Women in Technology have teamed up with Leaders Lounge to offer their Interpersonal Skills Learning Series Masterclass

    Masterclass Topics, Content & Information:

    Effective collaboration

Tuesday 19th March 4pm AEST (5pm AEDT) presented by Sarah Yip

In this Masterclass we look at what neuroscience has taught us about how to collaborate. You will make sense of why some of your collaborations have felt great to be part of, while others have been a drag. You will diagnose problems with collaborations you are part of and find practical solutions for improving them. You will leave with a clear model for improving all collaborations you are engaged in.

    Responding professionally to difficult interactions

Tuesday 16th April 4pm AEST presented by Alex Chapman

Have you ever been caught off guard or lost for words when confronted with the difficult situation? When confronted with a difficult individual it's often difficult to know how to respond in a professional and controlled manner. This course will cover tips and tricks on how to handle tricky and difficult interactions and maintain your sense of professionalism and power.

    • Learn that conflict doesn't necessarily have to be bad or to be something to be avoided.
    • Explore strategies on how to maintain your sense of self and have your needs heard in conflict and difficult situations.

Elements for high functioning hybrid work teams

Tuesday 30th April 4pm AEST presented by Jeremy Williams

Discover strategies for success in today's hybrid work environment. Dive deep into the dynamics of hybrid teams—a defining feature of modern work culture.

Explore unique challenges and opportunities, from fostering inclusivity to evaluating performance across physical and virtual spaces.

Cultivate a cohesive culture bridging remote and in-person team members, empowering autonomy for collective growth.

Join us in redefining teamwork in the era of hybrid collaboration. Equip yourself to lead and excel in the evolving landscape of modern work culture.

    Productive meetings

Tuesday 14th May 4pm AEST presented by Sarah Yip

Meetings consume a large amount of our working lives, but how much do they actually achieve? Not as much as they could, suggests research by Korn Ferry. In fact, more than 34% of professionals surveyed by the organizational consultancy in 2019 said that they waste between two and five hours per week on calls or meetings that don’t accomplish anything. Furthermore, over two-thirds (67%) said that spending too much time in meetings and on calls distracted them from making an impact at work.

In this Masterclass, participants will learn:

    • Skills to immediately improve any meeting you attend (even if you're not in charge)
    • Tools to help you optimize meetings across your company
    • Specific techniques for the hardest types of meetings to master: virtual and hybrid meetings

    Influencing without power

Tuesday 28th May 4pm AEST presented by Jeremy Williams

The best leaders are great at building trust and influencing others - not only the people in their team but colleagues and more senior people throughout the organisation. They are able to get other people, employees and colleagues, to do what's required and often a little bit extra. People listen to them and are enthusiastic about their projects.

This Masterclass is designed to teach you how to use influencing skills and the power of persuasion to help bring people around to your way of thinking, reducing resistance and overcoming conflict.

On this masterclass, you will learn how the skills of powerful influencers can be turned into practical tools that you can use to gain genuine buy-in, even in the most challenging situations.
