Human Bionics - A Union of Science, Industry and Clinical Need!
A great networking opportunity over a delicious breakfast

Bionics SEQ is a newly formed initiative aiming to create new and improved interfaces, linking clinicians, scientists, industry and investors to fast track the development of globally recognized bionics solutions.   Hear about the impact that cross disciplinary collaborations and scientific research can have on improved clinical outcomes in the area of human bionics.  Careers in STEM can lead to exciting and unexpected collaborations which have the potential to find bionic solutions for the “big picture” issues for Mankind.

Dr Dimity Dornan AO – as founder of Bionics SEQ, through story-telling, Dimity can set the scene for some impressive development in the area of human bionics having huge positive impact on patient’s lives.

Dr Dimity Dornan AO is a Speech Pathologist and the Founder and Executive Director of Hear and Say, which enables deaf children to listen and speak.

Dr Sean Powell – Sean will describe how pure scientific research in his laboratory has been applied to an impressive local project with significant global potential.

Dr Powell is a full-time academic at the Queensland University of Technology. His research experience is in theoretical and computational modelling of particle dynamics and diffusion and magnetic resonance characterisation of diffusion in tissue and biomaterials.

Monica Bradley – a leading authority on Innovation and technology disruption will summarise and look forward on how to  identify "problems worth solving" and "market opportunities" where Australian women in technology can globally succeed.

Monica is a director with exceptional strategy and global advisory experience who invests time and energy creating new value in the digital economy.  Monica helps organisations transform from the industrial to the digital age.
