Academia and Industry in STEM: Transitions and Collaborations

Hear about the importance of collaboration and transition as well as the skills required, challenges and benefits from our expert panel

As industry collaboration and transition is becoming a focus in academia in the Life Sciences we will be exploring these avenues in an evening of panelist discussion. Learn about how researchers are entering into new roles in academia/industry or start-ups through transition and how researchers have forged collaborations with industry partners. Hear about skills for transitioning careers between academia and industry; initiating, strengthening and maintaining collaborations between fields and the challenges and benefits of start up tech.

The evening will begin with an initial 10 minute presentation from each of the panelists based on career history, main influences, key factors in engagement with industry and the challenges and rewards of entering start up and commercialisation.

Our moderator for the evening is Dr Mike Todorovic from Griffith University from Dr Mike and Dr Matt's Medical YouTube and podcast:
