Join us for a panel discussion, light lunch and networking event with Sandra Slater, winner of the WiT ICT Outstanding Achievement Award and WiT ICT Ambassador for 2018

Sandra will be joined on stage by four female IT graduates from the Queensland Government IT Graduate Program (QGCIO & DHPW) to bring you a casual interview style panel discussion around digital careers and discovering your sense of purpose in the Queensland Government.

Sandra will talk about her personal career path including the highs and the lows of discovering your career passion.  She will also share insights about digital careers, navigating your career in government and what she believes has helped her succeed in a male orientated industry. 

As Chief Information Officer for TMR, Sandra leads a team of more than 400 staff and contractors. She is responsible for delivering a significant Information and Communication Technology program to improve customer experience and deliver better digital business outcomes for the department.

Sandra has proudly dedicated her 25+year career to TMR, working predominantly in ICT roles. She has led the development of ICT strategies and solutions and led teams to deliver many large-scale business and ICT change projects. Sandra is an experienced ICT executive across all elements of ICT planning, delivery, operations and governance, maintaining strong engagements with customers, stakeholders, vendors and industry.

She is passionate about leading the Information Technology Branch (ITB) to become and agile organisation with a strong customer focus, delivering innovative ICT and digital solutions and driving outstanding performance in partnership with key TMR stakeholders and external vendors.
