Life Sciences - "Friends, Collaboration and Translation" Networking Evening

Bring your business cards and join us for an evening of active networking with Friends, Translation, and Collaboration. This workshop is an innovative take on the traditional networking event

Current innovation initiatives, higher-education policies, and funding frameworks highlight the need for collaboration between industry, academia, and government. It is an essential skill for professionals at all levels to develop links with like-minded colleagues in different work areas.

This workshop will be a stand-up affair, with strong emphasis on allowing attendees to meet each other and form real-world collaborations during a guided team-building exercise. Build real networks while forming your own team of like-minded people from all levels of industry, government, and academia. Develop a transdisciplinary project with your new friends, all while enjoying drinks and canapes.

During this session, you will be introduced as allocated groups, and encouraged to move to form a project team. Your chosen teams will then simulate development of a real-world industry/academic/government project funding proposal using combined soft and hard professional skills.  The session will develop skills in networking, leadership, teamwork and project conceptualisation.
