Join us for the inaugural Business Booster event from WiT.  Business Booster events are exclusive to our corporate member, partner and sponsor organisations and designed for organisational Leaders to support your organisations diversity journey.  

We recognise that to tackle the issue of gender in-balance in the STEM sector development across the board from the individual to the employer is invaluable.

The first of the WiT Business Booster session  Be a Diversity Advocate & Ally for CALD Women in Technology" will be brought to you by our Major Partner Optus and delivered by an diversity leader and expert on CALD women, Div Pillay CEO of Mindtribes - Innovators of Inclusion.

The aim of the session is for leaders to:

  •  think about whether their case for change is clear [personal, social and business case for change]
  • understand how they have influence over the employee systems they govern [recruitment, selection, development and advancement] and the fair, safe and valued experience people have when they engage with these systems.

Pre-thinking: Leaders to come prepared by reading and evaluating their efforts or organisations’ efforts in diversity and inclusion.

Session style: is a community of practice, where leaders themselves need to feel safe to ask for what they need and to give what they can to others, in terms of their knowledge and experience. They should leave with a commitment to act/way forward - steady, tactical next steps to investigate a system change or to better articulate their case for change.

Div Pillay is one of the 100 Women of Influence, 2018, named by AFR and Qantas in the Diversity and Inclusion category. She is CEO of MindTribes, a D&I consultancy with specialist expertise on race and culture. MindTribes works with data to create change roadmaps to reduce and eliminate bias and discrimination from structures and systems.
