You are invited to the third ICT City Breakfast with guest speaker Sue Rickerby, Director General, DSITIA.
Sue has an extensive background in local government & private sector in Australia & New Zealand. She is currently Director-General of the Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation & the Arts; a position she has held since 24 November 2013.
Prior to this, Sue had been Deputy Director-General of the Department of the Premier & Cabinet since February 2013 and was responsible for a number of whole-of-government & multi-agency projects, including The Queensland Plan, a 30-year vision for the State; one stop shop; open data & social services investment reform projects.
Previously Sue held several executive roles with Brisbane City Council, the largest local authority in Australia, where she was responsible for marketing, customer services, shared services & a wide range of front-line services. Her achievements included development of Council’s first brand strategy & customer focus strategy & establishment of a shared services centre providing HR, finance & procurement services to all parts of Council.
Sue’s private sector career ranges from roles in multi-national companies, to consulting & corporate roles, as well as running her own business. She was the first woman president & is a Life Member of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand.
