The role

Your core responsibility is to work with the key stakeholders in the business, together with the development team members to develop and execute test cases and produce associated documentation in order to ensure the highest standard of output. You will work across a variety of devices (desktop, mobile, etc.) leveraging a variety of technologies, and bring best practice QA thinking to all your engagements.

Position accountabilities

• Create Test Plans where you address all critical functionalities / risks of a project using different testing type;
• Work with development team to understand assigned modules/new product features for the purpose of developing Test Cases;
• Create Test Cases and associate each them to each Feature to ensure 100% test coverage for critical system components;
• Execute Test Cases in all planned deliverables;
• Setup necessary Test Data for effective Test Case execution;
• Create Test Summary Report for Management to assess the progress of a project;
• Create Defects into Defect Tracking System and able to follow-up to ensure they are resolved;
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the system you tested;
• Provide appropriate support for Business Users during UAT testing;
• Create automated regression testing scripts;
• Perform adequate Performance Testing when appropriate;      
• Setup and perform Web Vulnerability Scanning during Security Testing;
• Improve overall QA process to ensure we deliver projects with highest quality;
• Become familiar with new technology, operating systems, testing tools etc. in order to maintain an awareness of technological advances.

What experience you’ll bring

• Over 5 years testing experience, including 3+ years experience as an Automation Test Analyst;
• Understand complex business requirements to devise effective Test Cases;
• Understand the overall architecture and technology of a system under test;
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in order to pinpoint the root cause of a defect. Able to explain this clearly when reporting defects for developers to address;
• Ability to write test cases with clear test steps and with appropriate test coverage;
• Execute test cases and update test cases according to test result;
• Identify any gaps in the test cases and suggest fixes to the test cases to cover the gap;
• Write defects with clear steps to reproduce;
• 3+ years experience writing Automation Test Script using Selenium, Watir or Cucumber JVM (for Java);
• Awareness of security implications whilst developing for the internet;
• 2+years experience in cross browser testing;
• Mobile testing experience;
• Write and execute Performance/Load Testing;
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
