Technology People has partnered with a global financial services company to recruit a Head of Engineering role to lead all the development both onshore and offshore, optimize development costs and provide leadership mentoring and training to technology leaders and senior developers.
This is an exciting role for someone with a broad leadership style who can create a healthy, cohesive, and a high-performance team.
About you:
- · Previous experience as a Head of Engineering (or equivalent) or 5 years in a leadership position
- · Ability to translate business needs into business language
- · Experience building engineering roadmaps and managing onshore and offshore teams
- · Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
- · Experience in budgeting and finance
Roles and responsibilities
- · Lead a team of Development Managers both onshore and offshore
- · Partner with the business, and work with engineering teams, to define goals and develop engineering roadmaps to achieve them
- · Provide leadership, training and mentoring to technology leaders and software engineers
- · Support the business with M&A strategies and post-acquisition integration
- · Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing and utilising best engineering practices and habits
