  Shameless Self Promotion

Hugh Kearns last year presented the "The Imposter Syndrome" at our sold out WiT event. This year he is back for a follow up seminar on effective measures to promote yourself!

Just because you work hard does not mean that you will attain awards.  Rather than waiting for it to happen, it is important to have a strategy to promote yourself and "put yourself out there".  Develop your 1 minute pitch and present yourself effectively for awards, grants and promotions.

This workshop will look at:

  • Asking for what you want
  • Why waiting isn’t enough
  • Using convincing language
  • Self promotion
  • Networking, mentoring and collaborating
  • Putting yourself in the spotlight
  • Media and other methods to communicate
