Our live information webinars give you the opportunity to learn more about about WiT's Board Readiness Program before applications for our 2023 intake open on 2 March 2023.

During the live webinar, you will gain a detailed understanding of the WiT Board Readiness Program, how to apply for our 2023 intake and what is required in your application. Hear from past Board Readiness Graduates who will share their experiences of participating in the program and how it’s shaped their leadership careers to date. The live webinar will conclude with a Q&A session where you’ll also get the opportunity to ask specific questions to the panelists.

Meet your facilitator for the evening:
Kelly Wilkes - 2022 Graduate and current WiT Board Director
Kelly grew up in Perth, Western Australia and had the luxury or a free-range childhood, moving to Sydney in her teenage years. Travelling extensively in her youth, she has had a wide variety of experiences, opportunities and setbacks.
Kelly has spent the last 20 plus years working in a variety of IT and business roles ranging from Insurance and Banking to Government and Education, from global giants to a 3-person technology start-up. She has had many roles and worked in Australia, Sri Lanka, Africa, Europe and the US.
She recently finished as Chief Operating Office with an ASX Listed IT Services business after having been through 7 Mergers and Acquisitions.
Kelly is passionate about using what she has learnt from all these diverse roles to understand people and enable them to realise their full potential.
The Panel:
Indi Tansey - 2019 Graduate and past WiT Board Director (2020 - 2022)
Indi wears many hats, as a company director, master storyteller, mother of 4, technology entrepreneur, adventure blogger and artist.
After spending 10 years as a creative and strategist in advertising agencies in Europe, Latin America and Australia, she co-founded and launched two technology businesses. Indi uses her unique skillset to create values and mission-driven stories that inspire us to take action towards the future we want. She has recently taken up a role as Head of Storytelling at Everledger, one of Brisbane’s most innovative and impactful startups.
Indi loves to draw and capture stories on her ipad, so if you see someone sketching at a WiT event, please say hello as it is probably her!
Megan Wilson - 2022 Graduate
Megan is a Global Client Lead at Palo Alto Networks where she has been since early 2019. She enjoys forming multi-year and multi-faceted strategies, following through to successful execution and leads a team of highly experienced professionals across 5 countries in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
In addition to her role, Megan is responsible for forming the first localised Corporate Responsibility Program for Australia and New Zealand at Palo Alto Networks. The ANZ CR team, supported by headquarters, help to maximise social impact by encouraging employees to participate in organised volunteer activities with select NFP partners. Activities across the region range from meal preparation for vulnerable members of the community, hamper packing for families or new parents, promoting cyber safety to children, promoting cyber pathways to students (some of which are from minority groups or low socio-economic backgrounds), to name a few.
Prior to this, Megan held other Account Manager and Program Manager roles at Oracle Corporation and VMware.
Megan is actively involved in giving back to the Brisbane and Ipswich community through volunteer work in her own time. Currently she is a mentor through Fitted for Work, a server for YMCA’s Breakfast Club, member of The Coffee Brigade Brisbane, and donation collector for Every Little Bit Helps.
About the program
The WiT Board Readiness™ Certificate is an introductory, 10-week practical program designed to equip female leaders from STEM disciplines with the foundational knowledge, the skills, the connections, the voice and the confidence to take the next step towards becoming a Board leader and key decision maker representing diverse groups of people across the community.
The 2023 course runs from 27 April - 15 June 2023 and culminates with an industry luncheon to introduce graduates into the business community and empower them with the opportunity to showcase their skills and expertise to some of Queensland’s highest profile organisations.
