    We are looking for a Microsoft Intune Solution Architect to join our team based in either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast. As a Microsoft Intune Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Intune solutions for our customers.     About You

    You will need:

    • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Cloud solutions;

    • Experience with on-premise infrastructure and migration planning;
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure;

    Your core responsibility is to work with the key stakeholders in the business, together with the development team members to develop and execute test cases and produce associated documentation in order to ensure the highest standard of output. You will work across a variety of devices (desktop, mobile, etc.) leveraging a variety of technologies, and bring best practice QA thinking to all your engagements.

    What experience you’ll bring

    • Over 5 years testing experience, including 3+ years experience as an Automation Test Analyst;
    • Understand complex business requirements to devise effective Test Cases;
    • Understand the overall architecture and technology of a system under test;
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills in order to pinpoint the root cause of a defect. Able to explain this clearly when reporting defects for developers to address;
    • Ability to write test cases with clear test steps and with appropriate test coverage;
    • Execute test cases and update test cases according to test result;
    • Identify any gaps in the test cases and suggest fixes to the test cases to cover the gap;
    • Write defects with clear steps to reproduce;
    • 3+ years experience writing Automation Test Script using Selenium, Watir or Cucumber JVM (for Java);
    • Awareness of security implications whilst developing for the internet;
    • 2+years experience in cross browser testing;

    Your new team

    You will be working in an agile team comprising of Developers, Testers, Automation Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters.

    The role

    This role will be developing highly available, scalable, and reliable Java micro-services deployed on AWS that are business critical. While also working on our Typescript AngularJS front end application. Depending on the sprint goals some sprints maybe more focused on Java or AngularJS or both. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across both stacks to deliver functionality end to end.

    The role will be working in one of several cross functional agile teams, supported by a product owner and Scrum master. All software is delivered via agile teams and deployed via a modern DevOps/CI pipeline to AWS.

    Your responsibilities

    • Design and develop Java 8/Typescript code to implement the goals of the sprint and deliver value to our business partners. 
    • Contribute the design and development of our modern Java cloud micro-service architecture. 
    • Contribute to the design and development of our front-end Typescript/AngularJS application. 
    • Help build out our CI/CD pipeline and AWS deployment infrastructure. 
    • Take ownership of the product, contribute improvement and innovation ideas. 
    • Contribute to best practice testing across unit, integration and end to end tests. 
    • Perform other reasonable and relevant activities as requested from time to time to meet operational requirements.  

    What experience you’ll bring

    • 5+ years proven commercial experience in web development; 
    • Excellent knowledge of Java 8. 
    • Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

    The Role 

    The Test Analyst role will be responsible for the following:

    • Ensure application changes meet both business specification and customer journey
      requirements;
    •  Ensure the best testing practices and approaches are applied to testing activities;
    • Work closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to understand business expectations and
      constraints, provide regular updates on progress of testing;
    • Define the risk-based and requirements-based testing scope to ensure the solution is fit for
      purpose;

    Position accountabilities

    •  Participate proactively in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, team retrospectives,
      suggesting and implementing product improvements;
    • Work with Product Owners to define Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done;
    • Create and execute test cases;

    Position Description

    • Collaborate with Development Managers and Product Owners on sprint planning and provide
      metrics on testing progress;
    • Ensuring the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled and executed during software release;
    • Actively collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements,
      especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness;
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of business rules, multiple systems and their respective
      functionality;
    • Ensuring proper use of testing tools;
    • Respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test cases;
    • Report defects and working with the team to resolve them;
    • Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality;
    • Develop a working understanding of test environments;
    • Seek to actively improve UAT and Regression testing methods and documentation;
    • Ensure software releases adhere to deadlines while not compromising on quality;
    • Manage Post Implementation Reviews and monitoring of systems to determine the success of
      the change;
    • Coordinate ad-hoc testing required to investigate, monitor and report BAU system
      issues/defects;

    What experience you’ll bring

    • Agile Testing Methodologies (Unit, Integration, Systems, Acceptance, Usability) &
      documentation (test designs, test cases and test execute);
    • Able to resolve issues as they arise during the various stages of testing;
    • Demonstrated ability to multi task in a fast-paced/ dynamic environment;
    • Attention to details;
    • Experienced JIRA and Confluence user (defect reporting and management tools);
    • Automated testing exposure and/or understanding; preferably Selenium Java Web Driver,
      Cucumber & headless browsers would be an advantage;
    •  Demonstrated analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills;
    • Demonstrated excellent time-management skills;
    • High level of IT literacy and demonstrated ability to learn new systems;
    • Working knowledge of common application software, e.g. MS Office suite;
      One of the following qualifications would be highly regarded, but not essential:
    • Testing qualification (e.g. ISTQB) preferred;
    • Tertiary qualifications in IT or business-related discipline

    Associate Director, Data and Analytics

    Who are we looking for?

    Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking an Associate Director, Data and Analytics to join Digital Business Solutions.

    In this role, you’ll be empowered to articulate and achieve the strategic vision for the data and analytics service at QUT. You will drive the delivery of strategy and operations in data analytics and artificial intelligence through being supported to explore creative opportunities that harness innovations in data management in novel ways.

    You will lead a specialised team of outcome focussed professionals who support transformative education and research outcomes across Australia and around the world through the provision of valuable data and analytics services. These services includes:

    • Government reporting for students, staff and research. Student reporting attracts circa $630M per year in funding for the university.

    • Survey administration and support for both student experience (national and QUT) and researcher surveys, including other sentiment analysis.

    • Data to support major submissions by the university such as participation in global university rankings.

    • Provision of insights to both academic and professional staff across the university to support critical activities such as accreditation of courses and balancing student intake.

    • Sponsorship and leadership for data and analytics initiatives across the university.

    • Demonstrable experience in organisational governance including the leadership of governance committees.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists; the ability to sell ideas at all levels, including the board/council level.

    • Ability to effectively drive business culture and transformative technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
